Minimum Requirements for Employment with EDC

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of disaster related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of FEMA PA experience including project worksheet development.
  • Knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance program laws, policies and regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in FEMA policies and eligibility requirements.
  • Must have excellent verbal and technical writing skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft  Office Suite applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System
  • IS-101: Preparing for Federal Disaster Operations: FEMA
  • IS-200b: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

  • IS-403: Introduction to Individual Assistance
  • IS-547: Introduction to Continuity of Operations
  • IS-632: Introduction to Debris Operations
  • IS-634: Introduction to FEMA's Public Assistance Program
  • IS-700a: A National Incident Management System (NIMS), an Introduction
  • IS-800b: National Response Framework, An Introduction

***Public Assistance Operations I & II (EDC's Training Certification is also required)
